After a long Christmas break PAD STUDIOS’ Figure Drawing Sessions are starting up again and the place to go to flex some of your artistic muscles. The sessions have been running for a few years now and has been a mainstay for interested life drawers and has built up an assortment of reliable figure models in that time.
I want to introduce a couple of changes though.
I’m now suggesting people can bring along a bottle of wine, or their favourite libation, to make it more socially convivial. Great for groups who want to come along and make bit of a night of it. Plus instead of closing up at 9pm after the drawing session finishes, I want to encourage people to stay on for a chat until around 10pm.

The interest in drawing is increasing all the time as evidenced by the recent BBC4 ‘Live‘ Drawing programme, where people can try it in their own homes. The beneficial rewards of getting lost for a while with just a pad and pencil is being increasingly recognised for its de-stressing value in this “always on” digital world!
It’s even nicer with a real model, with real people who just like you want to keep practising their drawing skills.
